The meetings will be in the Church Hall at St Anne's Haverthwaite on the following Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm. Meditation & BreathingLearn the techniques of meditation and breathing that help you relax and cope with the stresses of modern life. A meeting will be held in St Anne's Church Haverthwaite on Wednesday's at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
A fee of £1:00 will be charged which will be used for Youth Projects locally. Those wishing to attend contact David on 31338
Please note, this is not a religious service Youth and Community Activities  The 1st Leven Valley St Anne's Cub Pack has now been formed and has 6 members. The Cub Pack is for children (boys and girls) between the ages of 8 to 11 years so if your child would like to join our new Cub Pack give Celia a call on 31338.
Lucy Stanway is Akala the Pack Leader and we are looking for more helpers. Joe Cowell will also be joining the Pack as a Leader in the summer and other parents have volunteered to help us.
The first meeting was great fun and all the children and adults enjoyed a the evening with lots of games and learning new skills.

Raffle, tombola, cake and white elephant stall. (If you have items to donate, please ring 31802 or 31873 and please come and support this fund raising effort, it may be the last!) This year's outing will be on Tuesday, May 5th to Southport with a meal on the return journey at The Priory Hotel, Scorton. What's Happening in Finsthwaite?Finsthwaite Open Gardens - Saturday May 16th and Sunday May 17thGardens will be open for viewing from 11am to 5pm.
£4 per person gives entry to all of the gardens.
Children are free and can enjoy participating in an I-Spy trail.
The two day event will end with a celebration of Songs of Praise at St Peter's Church at 6pm on Sunday May 17th.
Catering We plan to serve soup, ploughmans and tea and cakes over the two days. We would greatly appreciate donations of pickles, chutneys and jam as soon as possible, and cakes/tea breads etc. nearer the time. Many thanks. Contact Barbara 30823 Judith 31268
Plant stall We have had some plants promised, but to ensure a really top quality plant stall we need as many plants as possible. We will be collecting/taking in over the weekend of 9th/10th May. Please label your plants. We will also need any spare plastic carrier bags you may have. Thank you.

New weekly 'Dancersize' sessions started on 5th January in the Finsthwaite and Lakeside Village Hall. The focus is on flexibility and toning exercises with some gentle aerobics, working at your own level. The sessions start at 2pm and cost £2.
